Cititrek and the BRONX

Named after the famous Bruncks family who owned a farm during the Dutch colonial day, this borough is the most unique. It is the only of one of the five that is attached to the main land.

Walk its main drag, the Grand Concourse with its Art Deco apartment buildings, while listening to the roar of the crowds in Yankee Stadium. After you have build up an appetite, stop and feast in of the Italian restaurants or salumerias along Arthur Avenue.

Take the kids to the Bronx Zoo or stop and smell the flowers at the New York Botanic Gardens.New York City is a big town with so many wonderful things to do and see!

A quaint community

Book a tour of City Island New York.
Often described as NYC’s answer to Cape Cod, City Island or the Great Minneford, (its original name), is a community that is equal to none in the five boroughs. Home to a once prosperous sailmaking industry, which employed hundreds of “clamdiggers” whose modest homes still can be found on its quaint, quiet streets. A stop at the The Nautical Museum, the old P.S. 17 building (1897) is a treasure not to be missed. Lastly, work up an appetite for late lunch or early dinner at one of City Island’s incredible seafood restaurants. Cost of admission and food not included.

I would like to thank you for an absolutely delightful and enlightening tour of City Island, New York. Please know that I learned so much in the most interesting manner. Looking forward to future tours with Cititrek.
